Six Thousand Five Hundred is the number of volunteers who have so far registered for “Let’s Do It Cyprus! – We Clean Cyprus in a Day” campaign, to be held this year in Nicosia and Limassol on Sunday, 6th April starting at 10 a.m.

This is the second event of its kind in Cyprus. The first event was a huge success in 2012 with 4000 volunteers. The idea originally started in Estonia in 2008 and has now spread to 100 countries. Ioanna Panayiotou is the Environment Commissioner in Cyprus and is in charge of the event.

The deadline to register for those interested in participating is noon on Thursday, 3rd April 2014.
